Відтак , 8 травня група велосипедистів розпочинає чотириденну експедицію цього маршруту. Відрізок Радомишль (Житомирська обл) – Шепетівка (Хмельницька обл.).Відстань пролягатиме через місто Житомир, де 9 травня зберуться велолюбителі Житомира, які долучаться до планування прокладання маршруту вулицями Житомира та області. В той же день планується виїхати в напрямку міста Шепетівка, але чіткого графіку наразі немає , так як це розвідка, по ходу експедиції будуть вноситися корективи. Також результатом подальшого напрямку руху групи будуть визначатися результати рекомендацій велотуристів Житомирщини.
In August 2013, Kyiv Cyclists' Association, the National EuroVelo coordinator for Ukraine, held a field trip to explore a 350-km stretch of the planned EuroVelo-4 Route in Western Ukraine. The trip that covered four provinces stared in Shepetivka, a mid-size city located about halfway between Lviv and Kyiv. From there, the team of cycling enthusiast moved westbound, sometimes splitting in two groups to check various potential routes. The group, composed of 5 volunteers from Kyiv, Radomyshl, Khmelnytskyi and Yaremche, was pedaling about 80-100 every day, documenting its way and discovering local communities and tourism infrastructure.
It is our pleasure to announce that the first and the only Ukrainian website dedicated to EuroVelo finally went on air on June 7, 2013. The site has been created thanks to voluntary efforts of Kyiv Cyclists' Association's activists. The tasks of the website are to inform European cycling commuity about the developments of EuroVelo-4 in Ukraine and to help international traveller plan their trips along EV-4. The site is fairly new, so we apologize if some pages does not consist all the information you would like to see. The website will be updated regularly during the summer and fall 2013, so please return later.

In June 2013, a group of cycling activists from the town of Radomyshl led by Alex Papirnyj made a field trip to test three optional routes connecting this town with the city of Zhytomyr. As a result, the most optimal route was selected and recommended to be used as EuroVelo4. It runs south of the E-40 motorway to the town of Korostyshiv. where it takes north-east to Radomyshl.
May 3, 2013. European Cyclists' Federation has confirmed that Kyiv Cyclists' Association (AVK) has been appointed as the National EuroVelo Coordinator for Ukraine. This decision was made by the EuroVelo Council in response to AVK's application submitted earlier in January, 2013. A formal partnership agreement has been signed between ECF and AVK that describes roles and responsibilites of each organizaion.
We are very pleased to become the National EuroVelo Coordinator. Thank you ECF and the EuroVelo Conucil for your trust, and we'll do our best to make EuroVelo-4 in Ukraine a reality in the nearest time!
